Mysuru, Dec 14 (UNI) The Union Ministry of Food Processing Industries, in an attempt to give boost to Food Industries, has established 40 mega food parks at key locations across the country, Food Industry Capacity and Skill Initiative (FICSI), CEO Sunil Marva said.
Speaking at the CEO Conclave in the 8th International Food Convention (#IFCoN2018) at the Central Food Technological Research Institute (CFTRI) here on Friday, Mr Marva said these Food Parks were equipped with centralised cold storage for storing farm produce, as a measure to facilitate farmers getting better prices. Such parks are successful in Andhra Pradesh, Guwahati, Haridwar and in other places.
FICSI is a non-profit organisation founded by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) with financial support from the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC).
