New Delhi, Apr 20 (UNI) The Mumbai Football Arena, the new hub of Indian Football will play host to the inaugural edition of the four-nation Hero Intercontinental Cup beginning from June 1-10 which will see the Indian National Team competing with the likes of South Africa, New Zealand and Chinese Taipei to strengthen India’s preparation for the AFC Asian Cup UAE 2019.
The tournament is being organised to strengthen India’s preparation for the AFC Asian Cup UAE 2019, their second qualification to the Continental Championship in 8 years, the last being in Doha 2011.
Kushal Das, General Secretary, All India Football Federation mentioned the tourney will help the Blue Tigers prepare better for the AFC Asian Cup UAE 2019.
