4 arrested for loot in Dumka, Rs 10.48 lakh recovered

Dumka, Jul 13 (UNI) Police has arrested four criminals who were wanted in connection with looting a sum of Rs 20 lakh from a fish trader.
From the arrested, Rs 10.48 lakh in cash, a SUV, a motorcycle and couple of mobile phones have been recovered.
Briefing the press, Dumka SP Ambar Lakra said that the incident had taken place on June 27 when the money was looted from Hamad Sharif, a resident of Andhra Pradesh near Nethurpahadi Railway bridge under Muffasil Police Station area.
He said, separate teams were constituted to crack the case which conducted raids in Bihar, West Bengal and Jharkhand in this connection. He said, acting on the technical inputs and information exchanged between police personnel of these three states, the four criminals were arrested.
The arrested have been identified as Immamuddin Ansari, Majid Ansari (both from Giridih district), Tajjuddin Ansari alias Babu Khan (Deoghar) and Abdul Rauf (Jamtara).
