34 Cattle heads seized by BSF

Kolkata, Feb 25 (UNI) Acting on the specific information, regarding the illegal movement of cattle on 24th Feb 2021 in Trucks on NH-6 from Meghalaya side via Malidor- Gumrah- Kalain- Badarpur- Panchgram- Hailakandi and further to Tripura for smuggling purpose. Int team of SHQ BSF Silchar and troops of 01 Bn BSF intercepted two trucks, i.e. TATA Ultra -1412 bearing Regd No.
AS- 11- DC- 2680 and Ashok Leyland bearing Regd No. AS- 02- BC- 1555 at Vill- Gumrah Paikan near PICP-Gumrah under PS-Katigorah, Cachar district (Assam) along with 34 cattle Nos @ Rs 60,000/- total value Rs 20, 40,000 /-. The BSF also apprehended the 06 persons all resident of Distt-Nagoan, Assam in this connection.
The seized items and the apprehended persons handed over to PS Gumrah for taking action as per the law of the land.
