3 killed, 4 injured in mishap; SGPC member escaped narrowly

Rupnagar, Oct 17 (UNI) Three people, including a woman, were killed and four others injured in a mishap on Chamkaur Sahib-Neelon road at Bassi Gujran village about 18 kms from the district.
SGPC member Amarjit Singh Chawla had a narrow escape in the mishap.He was going towards Ludhiana from Anandpur Sahib along with his security guards and SGPC task force members, when a car coming from the opposite direction collided at Chamkaur Sahib Neelon. The collision resulted in death of two on the spot. Five others were left injured.
One of the deceased has been identified as Hira Singh of Mandi, Himachal Pradesh. One of the injured occupant of the car was referred to government college and hospital, Chandigarh.
