Southampton, Aug 13 (UNI) Pakistan were 62/1 at Lunch against England on day one of the second Test of three match series at The Rose Bowl on Thursday.
Pakistan captain Abid Ali (33*), Azhar Ali (20*) were at the crease as rain forced an early Lunch in Southampton.
Earlier, Pakistan won the toss, elected to bat and gave Fawad Alam his first Test cap in 11 years.
Fawad, who had made his Test debut in July 2009, had last played a Test match for Pakistan against New Zealand at Dunedin in November 2009, before being dropped from the side.
England Pacer James Anderson gave Pakistan an early blow by dismissing Shan Masood in the third over of the day. Masood, the centurion from the 1st Test, walked back for just 1.
From there on, Azhar Ali and Abid Ali batted well and have 56 runs for the second wicket till lunch.
