2nd edition of National Children's Film Festival in Jaipur from Nov 14

Hyderabad, Nov 3 (UNI) Children's Film Society of India (CFSI) has announced the second edition of three-day National Children's Film Festival (NCFF) to be held at Jaipur from November 14. Coinciding with Children’s Day, the fest is being organized with the theme of the festival being 'Make in India', CFSI said in a statement here today. In a bid to showcase films made in India as well as expand children's film market in India and abroad, CFSI will screen around 40 films including many of the award-winning movies such as Gopi Gawaiya Bagha Bajaiyaa, Kima’s Lode, Budhia Singh (On the run) among others. The inaugural function of the film festival will happen at Birla Auditorium, Jaipur while the movies will be screened across 10 theatres in the city for three days. Ram Choyal’s Gauru, a film set in the background of Rajasthan with Ila Arun as one of the leading casts will be the curtain-raiser. Mr. Mukesh Khanna, Chairperson, CFSI said,“ the staff of CFSI is once again geared up for the second edition of National Children Film Festival in Jaipur. "I am more happy that Children of great city of Jaipur will celebrate three days of Festival with us. Jaipur is a colourful city with rich cultural background, he said. Dr. Shravan Kumar, Festival Director 2nd NCFF2016 and CEO, CFSI, said that Bollywood celebs and many from the film fraternity working towards the cause of children’s cinema are expected to come and participate in the festival. Aimed at nurturing the dynamic children's film culture in the country, CFSI will also organise workshops on animation, script writing, film making, dance, theatre with a special focus on Little Directors, our flagship property, the Fest Director said. Second NCFF2016, which has incorporated 'Make in India' as its central theme, will screen movies, which will showcase India's potential in diverse fields. Besides, the festival will have many workshops and open forum discussions around this topic and children’s cinema. CFSI’s 19th ICFFI last year had received a record entry of 1204 films from 80 countries, with entries coming from countries like Mexico, Afghanistan, Switzerland, USA, Egypt, Portugal, Sweden, and Canada with an audience of nearly 2.5 lakh children. Children's Film Society of India (CFSI) is a nodal organization of the Government of India that produces children's films and Television programs in various Indian languages. UNI KNR CS 1754
