2nd edition of Lab-grown Diamond & Jewellery Exhibition inaugurated in Mumbai

Mumbai, Aug 6 (UNI) More than 100 exhibitors from around the world are showcasing their varied range of diamonds and jewellery to the visitors at the second edition of the 'Lab-grown Diamond & Jewellery Exhibition 2022' here.

The exhibition was inaugurated amidst much fanfare by Shashikanth Dalichand Shah, chairperson, Lab Grown Diamond & Jewellery Promotion Council, on August five.

His Excellency Mr Donnawit Poolsawat, Consul General, Royal Thai Consulate, Mumbai, was the chief guest for the event, while the guest of honour was Ms Supatra Sawaengsri, Consul & executive director, Thai Trade Centre.

Organised by the Lab-Grown Diamond & Jewellery Promotion Council, the trade fair is “India’s Biggest Lab Grown Diamonds & Jewellery exhibition for Indian & International Jewellers”.

LDJS 2022 will have nine countries participating with 12 interactive trade sessions and 12 fashion shows, with models walking the ramp showcasing an array of LGDJS from various manufacturers and exhibitors from India and across the globe.

The four-day expo is expecting more than 45,000 trade visitors, buyers and members of the trade fraternity with an equal number of general visitors from India and abroad attending it, a release issued here stated on Saturday.

India's merchandise exports up 2 14 pc in July, trade deficit zooms to $30 billion

New Delhi, August 12 (UNI) Driven by major commodity groups such as electronics goods, petroleum products and chemicals, India's merchandise exports grew 2.14% year-on-year in July 2022 to $36.27 billion as compared to $35.51 billion in July 2021.
