28 more persons tests positive for COVID-19 in Meghalaya

Shillong, Aug 3 (UNI) Twenty-eight more persons, were tested positive for COVID-19 in Meghalaya as on Monday, taking the total active cases to 633, a health official said.
Of the fresh cases, Health and Family Welfare Minister, Alexander Laloo Hek said 21 (6 others, 2 Armed Forces, 13 BSF) were detected in East Khasi Hills, Ri-Bhoi – 5 (Armed Forces) and West Jaintia Hills two.
Out of the total 633 active positive cases in Meghalaya, he informed that East Khasi Hills has 518 cases which include including 226 BSF, 59 Armed Forces (Army, Assam Rifles) personnel and 233 others
