25 Fishermen missing after three trawlers drowned and another missing in Turbulent Bay of Bengal

Kakdwip, Jul 8 (UNI) At least 25 fishermen went missing after three trawlers sunk and another went missing while they were in deep sea fishing in the turbulent Bay of Bengal even as Indian Coast Guard and its Bangladesh counterpart have been on the search since Sunday, official sources said today.
Kakdwip Fishermen Association's general secretary Bijon Maity said while the diesel-powered FB Dasabhuja, FB Babaji and FB Joyjogiraj have sunk FB Nayan has been missing since Saturday evening after they were caught in the storms as they were returning the shore of Kakdwip in West Bengal's South 24 Parganas.
He said altogether 61 fishermen were on board of four trawlers. Of them, 36 have been rescued by fellow fishermen.
