23 more CISF officials test positive for coronavirus

Kannur, Jun 30 (UNI) As many as 23 Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) officials attached with Kannur International Airport have tested positive for coronavirus on Tuesday.
With this, the total number of CISF officials infected with coronavirus so far rose to 46, while two of them cured.
Out of the 23 CISF personnel tested Positive for coronavirus on Tuesday, seven of them are Kerala natives, followed by Uttar Pradesh with five, two each from Bihar, Haryana, Tamil Nadu and Rajasthan and one each from Punjab, Himachal Pradesh and Uttharakhand.
According to Health sources, nine of them are infected through local transmission.
All of them have been admitted to the isolation ward at Covid care centre, Ancharakandy.
CISF officials who came into contact with the infected officials while doing duty at the Airport were quarantined at CISF camp at Valiyavelicham near Koothuparamba.
Meanwhile, CISF Director General informed Kerala DGP Loknath Behra that a senior CISF officer will be sent immediately to Kannur to ensure the well being of the CISF officials, said a statement issued by the Kerala Police in Thiruvananthapuram.

Telangana: SLBC target to disburse over Rs 75,000 cr loans to Agriculture sector in this fiscal
