Panaji, Jul 1 (UNI) The 22nd edition of The European Union Film Festival 2017, organized by the Delegation of the European Union, Directorate of Film Festivals, and Entertainment Society of Goa (ESG), Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, was inaugurated here today. The opening ceremony was held at Maquinez palace, ESG Complex, in the city at the hands of Dr Cesare Onestini, Charge d’Affaires, Delegation of European Union to India, ESG Vice Chairman Rajendra Talak, and ESG General Manager Mrunal Niket Walke. Speaking on the occasion, Dr Cesare Onestini, Charge d’Affaires, Delegation of European Union to India, said the relation is becoming stronger between India and the European Union in the field of Arts, Literature and movies too. He thanked Directorate of Film Festival for having such type of union and event. He also thanked Club members and the audience present. The festival which would be held from today to July 8 would be an eight day entertainment bonanza catering to connoisseurs of European movies. The movies would be screened at Auditorium 1, Maquinez Palace, ESG Complex, Panaji. This festival is open to public and the seating availability would be on a first come first serve basis.
