22-yr-old youth dies in road accident in Kolhapur

Kolhapur, Nov 28 (UNI) A 22-year-old youth was killed on the spot after he fell down on the road from his scooter and was run over by a tractor-trolly overloaded with sugarcane at Amshi-Bololi village in Karveer tehsil of the district on Saturday.
The deceased, Ganesh Shamrao Patil, resident of Duegulewadi of Smashing village, was proceeding on a scooter to a sugarcane field to cut the cane in place of his father Shamrao, a labourer, who had taken a leave today, police said.
While on way to the field, his scooter skidded on the road while trying to overtake the tractor-trolly and he fell down on the road and came under the rear wheels of the tractor-trolly.

This year, the International Competition consisted of 15 movies out of which three were by Indian filmmakers. Under Festival Kaleidoscope section, IFFI showcased 12 movies chosen from various parts of the world. World Panorama section had 48 films, which included 21 Asia Premieres, 16 India Premieres, eight World Premieres and three International Premieres. Under Debut Film Competition, IFFI showcased seven films including two Indian films. Ten renowned films including two Indian movies competed for the ICFT-UNESCO Gandhi Medal.
