EntertainmentPosted at: Dec 11 2017 7:03PM 200 films from 50 countries to be screened in 10th BIFFSBengaluru, Dec 11 (UNI) About 200 films from 50 countries will bescreened during 10th Bengaluru International Film Festival Society (BIFFS)being held here from February 22 to March 1, 2018. The film festival is being organised by Karnataka ChalanachitraAcademy and Department of Information and Public Relations on behalfof the State Government with a special theme 'Human Rights andSocial Justice'. Briefing newspersons, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Monday saidthat the festival will also host various forums for academicinteractions on Filmmaking and Film Appreciation like seminars,Workshops, Master classes etc., for the benefit of filmprofessionals, discerning audiences and students on differentaspects of cinema. Awards were categorised as Best Indian Film, Best Kannada Filmand best amongst the popular entertainment cinema in Kannada andBest Asian Film. A new category of award for the Life timeachievement is being introduced from this year. The Organising Committee formed included Chief MinisterSiddaramaiah as Hon. Chairman.
