Lucknow, Apr 22 (UNI) Though there is a slight decrease in criminal and crorepati candidates in phase 3 polls in Uttar Pradesh to be held in 10 Lok Sabha seats on Tuesday, but still 20 per cent candidates have criminal background and 38 per cent are crorepatis.
Of the total 120 candidates in the fray for the third phase, 24 or 20 per cent have admitted criminal cases against them in their affidavits with 19 or 16 per cent have cases of heinous crime against them.
