Panaji, Sep 24 (UNI) Two MLAs were inducted as ministers in the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led government in Goa on Monday.
The MLAs-- Milind Naik and Nilesh Cabral-- were administered the oath of office by Governor Mridula Sinha at Raj Bhavan near the city.
Mr Naik and Mr Cabral are MLAs from the BJP and represent Mormugao and Curchorem constituencies respectively in the state assembly. The leaders replaced two ministers -- Urban Development Minister Francis D'Souza and Power Minister Pandurang Madkaikar -- who were dropped from the cabinet earlier in the day. While Mr Madkaikar is recuperating in a hospital in Mumbai, Mr D'Souza is in the USA for treatment.
