ParliamentPosted at: Jul 18 2018 2:06PM 2.52 cr students benefitted from govt scholarships for minorities: NaqviNew Delhi, July 18 (UNI) More than 50 per cent of 2.52 crore students benefitted from government's scholarship schemes for education for minorities were girls, Union Minority Affairs Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi informed the Lok Sabha on Wednesday.Responding to a a supplementary raised by BJP member Nishikant Dubey during Question Hour, Mr Naqvi said, ''In the past four years, 2.52 crore students got scholarships and more than 50 per cent were girls. This is the biggest number since Independence.''
