Aurangabad/Mumbai, Aug 20 (UNI) Maharashtra has recorded 2,285 new Covid-19 cases and five deaths in the past 24 hours, a health bulletin said here on Saturday.
With the addition of these new cases, the state’s cumulative case tally has surged to 80,80,696 and the death toll goes up to 1,48,191.
Meanwhile,2,237 cured patients were discharged during the day across the state, taking overall count of recoveries to 79,20,772.
The state's recovery rate significantly stand to 98.02 per cent and fatality rate 1.83 per cent .
Presently, 11,733 active patients were undergoing treatment in different hospitals, the bulletin added.
Meanwhile ,In Marathwada region 54 positive patients were reported including 17 positive cases in Latur district followed by 10 cases Osmanabad district,8 cases in Nanded district , 6 cases in Aurangabad, 5 cases in Parbhani district ,3 each in Beed and Jalna Districts and 2 cases in Hingoli district, ,the bulletin further added.
