Trent Bridge, Aug 5 (UNI) The ongoing first Test of the five-match series between India and England on day two was stopped due to bad light and then rain forcing the visitors to take early Tea at 125/4, here on Thursday.
At Tea, India still trail by 58 runs against England.
At Lunch India were at 97/1, but England bounced back in the game after that picking up three crucial wickets of Pujara, skipper Kohli and Rahane in the afternoon session.
Pujara and Kohli were bowled by Anderson in same over 40.2 and 40.3 while Rahane was run out by Bairstow in 43.2 over.
All three batsmen fell at score of 4, 0 and 5 respectively.
This was Kohli's fifth duck in Test cricket first was against Australia, MCS 2011-12 (Ben Hilfenhaus), second vs England, Lords 2014 (Liam Plunkett), third vs England, Oval 2018 (Stuart Broad), fourth vs West Indies, Kingston 2019 (Kemar Roach), fifth vs England, Trent Bridge 2021 (James Anderson).
Rahul 57, Rishabh Pant 7 were at the crease when play was stopped due to bad light and rain forcing to take early Tea after 46.1 over.
