1st T20: Australia beat India by four runs under DLS method

Brisbane, Nov 21 (UNI) Australia beat India by 4 runs in the first Twenty20 match here on Wednesday by (DLS method), despite blistering knock from Shikhar Dhawan 76 in the rain-reduced match.
Earlier India won the toss and opted to field inviting Australia to bat.
Australia now lead 1-0 in the three-match series and second game will be played on Friday at Melbourne.
Glen Maxwell (46) and Chris Lynn (37) took Australia 158/4 in the rain-reduced 17 overs.
The play was halted after Australia gathered 153/3 in 16 overs further streching the game towards 17 over.
For Australia D'Arcy Short departed early in the fifth over after scoring 7 runs in Ahmed's bowl while skipper Aaron Finch after contributing 27 off 24 with 3 fours lost his wicket to Kuldeep Yadav in 9th over.
After Finch's departure Glen Maxwell and Chris Lynn took the charge and amassed 78-run partnership for the fourth wicket.
Lin was the first to go after being caught and bowled by Kuldeep Yadav after scoring 37 in the 11th over while after that Maxwell to fell in the 17th over after Bumrah bowled him at 46.
However, Stoinis 33 and McDermott 2 remained unbeaten.
Chasing a target of 174 runs, India despite Shikhar Dhawan's magnificent 76 runs off 42 balls India faltered at last moment against hosts.
Australia jolted Indian batting when Dhawan's wicket fell after he tried to play short pitched delivery from Billy Stanlake and hit the ball straight into the hands of Behrendorff at third man.
However, Infamous as run machine, Virat Kohli too followed his teammates and got dismissed on a score of four runs off eight balls. Zampa dismissed Kohli.
A few shots were seen from the Risabh Pant (20) and Dinesh Karthik (30), but they couldn't survive and went to pavilion.
Krunal Pandya, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Kuldeep Yadav failed to even cross 10 runs and putting their team away from the victory.
For Australia Adam Zampa and Marcus Stoinis took two wickets each, while Jason Behrendorff, Billy Stanlake and Andrew Tye took one one wicket each.
