1st day odd-even traffic of Dimapur claims 746 violations

Kohima, May 12 (UNI) On the first day of Nagaland’s first Odd-Even scheme of vehicular traffic yesterday, Dimapur Police challenged at least 746 vehicles for violations of odd-even scheme.

According to official sources quoting Dimapur Police Commissioner Rothihu Tetseo informed that on the first day of Odd-Even Scheme implementation in Dimapur to ease the vehicular traffic and to minimise non-essential movement of the vehicles in the town, altogether 746 vehicles found violating the order and they were fined an amount of Rs.1,41,050 realised from defaulters as penalty fine would be credited into the Government treasury.
