1M flee Rafah in 3 weeks, says UN refugee agency

United Nations, May 28 (UNI) Approximately one million (10 lakh) people have fled Rafah in the past three weeks, the United Nations Palestinian refugee agency (UNRWA) said on Tuesday.
Speaking about the exodus from Rafah, the UNRWA posted on X: "This happened with nowhere safe to go & amidst bombardments, lack of food & water, piles of waste & unsuitable living conditions."
It said the flight took place over the past weeks as "Day after day, providing assistance & protection becomes nearly impossible".
