Itanagar, Dec 5 (UNI) As many as 18 people have tested positive for Covid-19 in Arunachal Pradesh, taking the state's caseload to 16367, while the fatalities toll rose to 55 following death of a 80-year-old man.
Of the fresh cases of infections, six were reported from Itanagar Capital Complex (ICC), three each from Papum Pare and West Kameng, one each from West Siang, Lohit , East Siang, Upper Siang, Changlang and Lower Dibang Valley, as per the bulletin issued by the state Directorate of Health Services (DHS).
All the patients are asymptomatic except seven.
As per the bulletin issued by the state Directorate of Health Services last night, a 80-year-old man expired on Thursday (1945 hours) at DCH-Chimpu here.
He was suffering from diabetes mellitus and hypertension with Covid-19 infection. He died due to septic shock.
On a positive note, 36 patients were discharged across the state, taking the total recoveries to 15561.
Active cases stood at 751.
