Kiev, Dec 6 (UNI) At least 18 civilians lost their lives while 124 others injured in conflict-ridden eastern Ukraine between January and October this year, a special mission of the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) said on Thursday.
According to the OSCE mission, out of all the 380 casualties recorded in eastern Ukraine since the beginning of 2018, 133 were caused by mines and other explosive objects, Xinhua reported.
"Civilians were killed and injured by these objects in a variety of circumstances and conditions," said a report released by the mission.
Earlier this week, the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense had said that over 1,000 people were affected by mines or other explosive remnants since the beginning of the conflict in eastern Ukraine.
The conflict is going on since 2014.
