1598 new COVID 19 cases, tally reaches 1,73,063 in Bihar

Patna, Sept 23 (UNI) With 1609 new COVID 19 cases coming to light, the overall tally of the infection increased to 173063 so far in the state where recovery rate is 91.60 as 1232 infected persons recovered during the past 24 hours.
Health department sources said here today that of the new cases Patna reported with 219 followed by Muzaffarpur 89, Purnea 72, Supaul 71, Gopalganj 66, Madhepura 62, Nalanda 60, Lakhisarai 59, Araria 58, Saharsa 57, West Champaran 55, Kishanganj 46, Bhagalpur 43, Vaishali 41, Saran and Arwal 40 each, Banka 39, Madhubani and East Champaran 37 each, Gaya 36, Rohtas 33, Aurangabad 32, Munger 31, Nawada 29, Darbhanga 28, Jamui 25, Sheikhpura 24, Jehanabad 23,
Kaimur 22, Samastipur 18, Begusarai 17, Buxar Sitamarhi 16 each, Katihar 15, Siwan 12, Bhojpur 11, Sheohar 10 and Khagaria 6.

Shillong, Oct 22 (UNI) Meghalaya registered one more COVID-19 related death taking the number fatalities due to the disease to 78 and 99 fresh cases on Thursday, taking active cases to 1,661, while 307 more patients also recovered from the viral infection bringing the number of recovered cases in the State to 6,981.
