15-kg bomb, grenade found in Rajouri, defused

Jammu, Feb 4 (UNI)A 15-kg bomb and an abandoned grenade were found in two separate incidents in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir. ‘’A 15-kg bomb measuring 1.6 feet was found last evening while digging a land for water tank in the house of one Vinod Kumar in Ward Number 4 in Nowshera town of Rajouri,’’ police sources today said. They said that the bomb was seized by the army and shifted to isolated places where it was defused. ‘’A major tragedy has been averted,’’ police added. In another case, an abandoned grenade was also found by the Army and Police in a remote village of Thanamandi tehsil of Rajouri which was defused later. UNI VBH CJ RSA 1103
