14 students rescued after fire

Kanpur, Sep 29 (UNI) Fourteen students trapped in a two-storeyed building were rescued after its basement caught fire due to a short circuit in Saket Nagar here on Thursday, police sources said.
The building houses a godown of spare parts, a diagnostic center on the ground floor, office of Just Dial on the first floor and Global Career Academy on the second floor.
The fire broke out in the godown due to which 14 students of a coaching center got trapped. Chief Fire Officer M.P. Singh and his colleagues got out the students with the help of fire tenders.
