14 shops gutted in a massive fire in Srinagar

Srinagar, Dec 15 (UNI) As many as 14 shops were gutted in a massive fire which broke out in a commercial area in the summer capital here.
Official sources told UNI that fire broke out in a shop on the intervening night of Thursday and Friday at Gojwara Chowk in Srinagar.

They said the locals initially made a valiant attempt to douse off the fire as fire tenders reached the site late.

However, before the fire was brought under control, 14 shops were completely damaged.

The cause of the fire was not immediately clear, they said, adding no one was injured in the incident.
