Bhubaneswar, March 20 (UNI) As many as 13 steel plants with a total capacity of 64.28 MTPA will be set up in Odisha, Steel and Mines Minister Prafulla Mallik told the State Assembly on Monday.
Replying to a question from Padmini Diana (BJD), the Minister said the upcoming greenfield projects are proposed to be set up at Barbil, Karakohla, Keonjhar, Mahadeijoda and Nayagarha in Keonjhar district, Banarpal in Angul district, Mahakalapada in Kendrapada, Dhinkia in Jagatsinghpur, two in Kalinganagar in Jajpur district, Lathikata and Bonai in Sundergarh district and Rairangpur in Mayurbhanj district.
Mallik said while Arya Iron & Steel Company PVT ltd proposed to set up its plant at Barbil, JSW Utkal Steel Ltd at Dinka, Orissa Alloy Steel Pvt Ltd and Beekay Utkal Steel Industries Ltd at Kalinganagar, Envirocare Infraresolution Pvt Ltd at Lathikata, Fedders Electric & Engineering Ltd at Bonai and Rngta Mines Pvt Ltd at Rairangpur.
