122 pilots found drunk before flight in 3 years: Jayant Sinha

New Delhi, Jul 24 (UNI) A total of 122 pilots were detected consuming alcohol during pre-flight medical examination in the last three years. Out of these Mumbai airport reported maximum detection of 34, followed by Delhi and Kolkata at 31 and 18 respectively in the same period, the Lok Sabha was informed.
“As per the data available, 122 pilots have tested alcohol positive during the pre-flight medical examination for consumption of alcohol during the last three years,” Minister of State for Civil Aviation Jayant Sinha said in a written reply.
