Shillong, Aug 2 (UNI) Twelve more persons tested positive for COVID-19 in Meghalaya’s East Khasi Hills District, taking the tally of active cases to 609 till Sunday morning.
“All new positive cases were detected in East Khasi Hills District that includes five BSF and one armed forces personnel and four others,” Director of Health Services (MI), Dr. Aman War said.
With 506 active cases, including 226 civilians, 223 BSF and 57 armed forces (Army, Assam Rifles) personnel, the East Khasi Hills is the most affected district in the State.
