12 coronavirus cases surface in Himachal, count 165

Shimla, May 22(UNI) Himachal Pradesh registered 12 new cases of Covid-19, pushing the infection tally to 165 including thee fatalities and 55 recoveries.
Active cases in the state stand at 102.
Additional Chief Secretary Health R D Dhiman said all the 12 cases surfaced in Hamirpur, taking the pandemic count in district to 58 including four recoveries and one death.
Hamirpur Deputy Commissioner Harikesh Meena said all the 12 virus-infected people were returnees from other states.
So far, the pandemic has infected 41 in Kangra including 32 active cases, Una 19 with two
active cases, Solan 14 with five active cases, Chamba 13 with three active cses, Bilaspur seven with five active cases, Mandi six with four active cases, Sirmaur four with two active cases, Kullu one with one active cases and Shimla one with no active cases.

Bhopal, May 31 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan averred on Sunday that “our global visionary” Premier Narendra Modi charted out a new course in the COVID-19 struggle and led the country efficiently, owing to which the pandemic has been overcome to a considerable extent.
“With ceaseless toil on part of our dauntless corona warriors and the populace’s support, we have succeeded in bringing the pathogen under control within the state. However, being vigilant and cautious is still imperative. For preventing infection, we shall have to uncompromisingly adhere to the ‘Modi mantra’ of social distancing, utilisation of masks, repeated hand-washing and not spitting in public places. Only then will we vanquish the virus,” the seasoned politician outlined while addressing the people via Doordarshan.
