10 missing after gusty winds sweep through Tanzania lake

Dar Es Salam, Jan. 26 (UNI) At least 10 fishermen were missing and 550 others rescued on Friday after gusty winds swept through Lake Rukwa in Tanzania, authorities said on Saturday.
The 10 fishermen were still unaccounted for by 11 a.m. local time (0800 GMT) on Saturday, Chacha Mchaka, head of the Tanzania Fire and Rescue Force of the Rukwa region, told Xinhua.
Rescue work was underway to relocate the missing fishermen who were in their routine fishing activities when the gusty winds blew, said Nyakia Chirukile, the Rukwa region's Sumbawanga district commissioner.
