10.44 lakh poor provided homes by government: Raghubar

Ranchi, Oct 22 (UNI) Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das said the state government was working to uplift the standard of living of the common people and expressed satisfaction over the fact that the government was able to provide homes for the needy.
Addressing a function organised at the old jail premises here, he laid foundation for the various schemes and said that in the state only politics has taken place in the name of the poor but nobody has paid attention towards providing them with the basic amenities of the life. He said the present government understood the pain of the poor and made efforts and he was happy with the fact that the government has able to fulfill the aspirations of the people.
Mr Das said, the state government was working to provide homes to all the homeless by the year 2022. The Chief Minister who inaugurated a total of 180 homes constructed under PMAY said that in the premises a community hall will be constructed where social activities will be held.
