Kozhikode, Aug 23 (UNI) The Special Investigation Team (SIT), probing the brutal murder of an Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) activist in Nadapuram in this district of Kerala, has arrested an accused in the case. Sources today said Nidhin alias Kuttu has been arrested in the murder of Mohammed Aslam (20) by unidentified assailants on August 12. According to preliminary investigation, Kuttu had made arrangement for the Innova car allegedly used by the accused to execute the crime. Aslam, who was returning home on his two wheeler, was waylaid and attacked with sharp weapons by the car borne assailants. He later succumbed in a hospital. He was among 17 persons acquitted by a local court recently in the sensational murder of pro-CPI (M) Democratic Youth Federation India (DYFI) activist Shibin Bhaskaran (19) at Thuneri in this district on January 22, 2015.
