1 held in connection with Goa murder

Panaji, May 21 (UNI) Goa Police on Saturday arrested a 19-year-old youth hailing from Odisha in connection with a murder that took place on May 15.
According to police, accused Suraj Tirth Chandan, hailing from Kalahandi district in Odisha, had allegedly killed Manoj Bag (24), hailing from his home district.
The Mapusa police in North Goa succeeded in tracing the accused from Odisha. The accused was escorted to Goa and produced before JMFC, Mapusa, which remanded him to police custody for seven days.

Pune, April 25 (UNI) Day temperatures were markedly above normal(5.1°C or more) at many places over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim; at isolated places over Bihar, Gangetic West Bengal and Assam and Meghalaya; appreciably above normal (3.1°C to 5.0°C) at isolated places over Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura, Arunachal Pradesh and Jharkhand; above normal (1.6°C to 3.0°C) at many places over coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam, Rayalaseema, south interior Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal and Kerala and Mahe; at isolated places over east Uttar Pradesh, Odisha and Telangana. These were below normal (-1.6°C to -3.0°C) at isolated places over Vidarbha and east Madhya Pradesh and near normal over rest parts of the country. Yesterday, the highest maximum temperature of 43.7°C was reported at Anantapur
(Rayalaseema) over the country.
