"You can take a person out of India but can't take India out of a person," says Shilpa Krishanan Shukla

Thiruvananthapuram, Dec 7 (UNI) Acclaimed film director Shilpa Krishnan Shukla on Saturday stated that even when citizens lived outside their motherland, their love for it remains strong within them.
Addressing a Meet the Press forum at the International Film Festival of Kerala (IFFK), she added that citizens living inside and outside the territory have intense love towards their birth land.
The section headed by director Mira Sahib discussed various aspects of contemporary cinema. Kanthan's director Shareef Easa shared the difficulties of making and releasing a short budget film.
Director Tom Waller (The Cave) expressed that movies were a part of a culture that celebrates recent historical events. Actor Lalit Prabhakar raised his views on women equality and need for empowering women. The directors also pointed out the crisis of illegal downloading of new movies.
