'Yeh Un Dinon Ki Baat Hai ' , a show revisiting 90s era, airs on Sony from today

New Delhi, Sep 5 (UNI) A show that takes viewers back into the 90s era, with its simple and 'uncomplicated' life due to absence of smart phones and cult fashion marked by high-waist jeans, crop tops, hoop earrings and wedges, will premiere on Sony entertainment television from tonight. Beginning today, ‘Yeh Un Dino Ki Baat Hai’, a show set in 'golden era of the 90s will air on Sony entertainment television at 10:30 pm after Kaun Banega Crorepati every Monday-Friday. Officials at the Sony said the show will rewind to the 90s era, considered a golden era especially by people born then who see it as the best time of their lives! This era was symbolic of several defining moments and movements across the nation. From influencing the pop culture across the nation to paving way for the chocolate boy image, courtesy the three Khans of Bollywood who continue to rule the hearts and the box office even today. From AR Rehman taking the world by storm by redefining and revolutionising music, to the comeback of cult fashion of the 90s with high-waist jeans, crop tops, hoop earrings and wedges into the wardrobes of every fashionista in the country, the era of 90s truly was momentous and remarkable in every sphere. The decade that feels like yesterday celebrated romance and presented most captivating and triumphant stories ever. Set in the backdrop of Ahmedabad, ‘Yeh Un Dinon Ki Baat Hai’ is a coming of age love story of Naina – a stoic, witty and fearless girl (played by Ashi Singh) and Sameer – a large hearted, flamboyant and obstinate boy (played by Randeep Rai). In a time, untouched by smart phones, it’s an exploration of teenage love, with all its innocence, inexperience and anxieties. The show is a closer exploration of the journey of the everyday moments of the two youngsters – Naina and Sameer. The show has been produced by Shashi Sumeet Productions , creative storytellers that have given the Indian audience several successful shows depicting Indian values, tradition and culture. 'Yeh Un Dinon Ki Baat Hai’ boasts a talented ensemble cast who fit the roles perfectly. Joining the lead pair of Ashi Gupta and Randeep Rai will be Somendra Solanki, Vaishnavi Macdonald, Samir Khakhar, Ehsaan Qureshi, Sanjay Batra amongst others. Noted music director Anu Malik has composed the music for the title track of the series and Kumar Sanu and Sadhana Sargam, the stalwart singers from the 90’s have lent their melodic voices for the same.
