'Soorma': Diljit Dosanjh's new post will melt audience's heart

New Delhi, July 11 (UNI) Diljit Dosanjh is currently on a promotional spree as the actor recently visited Sandeep Singh's hometown in Shahbad.

The actor got to meet Sandeep's parents who also gifted him his hockey stick which happens to be the same hockey stick which Sandeep used during the time he was paralyzed.

After encountering Sandeep Singh's parents, Diljit took to his social media sharing an emotional BTS video.



The one minute video showcases Sandeep's parents emotionally narrating the heartening story of their son's life journey.

Diljit Dosanjh took to twitter sharing the video captioning, "FAMILY KA SAATH..BADEY BHAI KA SAATH HO TOH KOI NAHI ROK SAKTA Miracle Hone Se RESPECT SOORMA THIS FRIDAY.'

The trailer of the film had garnered immense appreciation from across the audience. It is an inspiring true story of the human spirit, about a player, who made headlines for his miraculous comeback after an unfortunate accident.

It is a lesser known fact that, Sandeep Singh has been hailed as one of the world' most dangerous drag-flickers of all time with drag speeds of over 145 km/hr which led to his nickname, ‘Flicker Singh’.

Sandeep Singh's inspiring story has had the makers keen to bring his life on the silver screen.

'Soorma' will feature Diljit Dosanjh essaying the role of Sandeep Singh alongside Taapsee Pannu and Angad Bedi in the pivotal roles.

Produced by Sony Pictures Networks Productions, Chitrangda Singh, and Deepak Singh, 'Soorma' is written and directed by Shaad Ali and is slated to release on July 13.
