‘Shobha yatra’ marks promotion of Sanskrit language at Katra

Jammu, Aug 10 (UNI) To recognize, commemorate and revive the ancient Indian language Sanskrit in Jammu and Kashmir under the joint auspices of Central Sanskrit University, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Gurukul Katra, a ‘Shobha Yatra’ was organized on Wednesday under the aegis of Sanskrit Week from Spiritual Growth Centre which concluded at Banganga, Katra.
The Shobha Yatra was flagged off by Anshul Garg, Chief Executive Officer, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board.
World Sanskrit Day, also known as Vishva-samskrita-dinam, is an annual event focused around the ancient Indian language of Sanskrit that aims to promote its revival and maintenance.
