'Rythu Bharosa' scheme extended to tenant farmers up to Dec 15

Kakinada, Nov 11 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Minister for Agriculture and Cooperation Kurasala Kannababu on Monday said that the tenant farmers could claim financial assistance under YSR Rythu Bharosa scheme up to December 15.
Reviewing the implementation of the scheme with collectors and agricultural department officials over video conference along with Deputy Chief Minister and Revenue Minister Pilli Subhaschandra Bose from the Collectorate here on Monday, he asked the collectors to ensure proper implementation of the scheme covering the eligible as it is meant for supporting the farmers as capital investment for farming.
In order to create awareness among the farmers and redress their grievances, he suggested them to hold special Spandana programme at the Mandal level for the next three days.
Referring to difficulties facing in uploading the data from agency areas, he said in such places off line uploading would be allowed. He advised the farmers residing outside the state to avail the facility by November 15.
As the scheme is going to be implemented for five years, the Minister directed the officials to display the eligible beneficiaries list in gram panchayats for transparency.
`Nearly 2.89 lakh grievances were received in special Spandana programme conducted all over the state, out of which 1.40 lakh were settled immediately and steps are being taken to redress the remaining’ he added.
Deputy CM Bose said that correction of land records setting right the anomalies was essential. He said the recent crop cultivators’ right act would not affect the interests of the land owners and it will help the tenant farmers to secure the assistance to the genuine farmers.
