New Delhi, June 18 (UNI) Continuing its strong run at the box office, 'Race 3' crossed the Rs 100 cr mark at the box office in its opening weekend itself, earning Rs 107.47 cr in its first three days, trade sources said on Monday.
The film, which earned Rs 29.17 cr on its opening day and Rs 38 cr on its second day on Saturday, earned close to Rs 39 cr on Sunday.
The total collection of the film for the opening weekend is Rs 106.47 cr.
Trade sources said that the film's first weekend business of 106.47 crores is one of the highest weekends to come out of Bollywood, crossing the opening weekend collecitons of films like Shah Rukh Khan’s 'Chennai Express' (Rs 100 cr) and Aamir Khan’s PK (Rs 95.21 cr) and Dangal (Rs 106.95 crores).
The film is just behind the first weekend earnings for Aamir Khan’s Dhoom 3 (Rs 107 crores), 'Happy New Year' (Rs 108.86 crores).
Produced by Salman Khan in collaboration with tips and directed by Remo D'Souza, 'Race 3', third in the popular race franchise, stars Salman Khan, Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol and Jacqueline Fernandez in key roles.
