New Delhi, Aug 16 (UNI) &Privé HD, the destination for nuanced cinema, is set to premiere 'Marshall' on August 18.
The film is directed by Reginald Hudlin and stars Chadwick Boseman, Sterling K Brown, Kate Hudson and Josh Gad in pivotal roles.
It is based on an early trial in the career of Supreme Court Justice Thurgood Marshall. It follows Marshall, as the young lawyer (Chadwick Boseman) to conservative Connecticut to defend an African-American chauffeur (Sterling K. Brown) charged with sexual assault and an attempt to murder on his white socialite employer (Kate Hudson).
Muzzled by a segregationist court, Marshall partners with a courageous young Jewish lawyer, Samuel Friedman (Josh Gad); and they mount a defense in an environment of racism and antisemitism.
The high-profile case and the partnership with Friedman serves as a template for Marshall's creation of NAACP (The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People).
It will premiere on August 18 at 1300 hrs and 2100 hrs on &Privé HD.
