&Privé HD to premiere 'Rebel in The Rye' on Sept 15

New Delhi, Sep 11 (UNI) &Privé HD is all set to premiere the biographical drama of JD Salinger 'Rebel in The Rye' on September 15 .

The drama will be premiered on September 15 at 1300 hrs and 2100 hrs.

In his directorial debut, Danny Strong traces the intricate details of the author’s life with the gifted actor Nicholas Hoult playing the protagonist.

The film also features Kevin Spacey, Zoey Deutch, Sarah Paulson, Brian d'Arcy James, Victor Garber, Hope Davis, and Lucy Boynton in memorable performances.

Set against the backdrop of the vibrant 20th century New York, ‘Rebel in The Rye’ portrays how Salinger’s fear of mediocrity makes him eventually alienate himself from public life rather than subject his work to mainstream scrutiny.

As he struggles to find his voice, the story unveils the many defining moments that shaped the author’s life. From his love affair with the well-known socialite Oona O'Neill (Zoey Deutch) to his time in World War II, the movie takes the viewer though the journey that ultimately led to the publishing of 'Catcher in the Rye'.
