New Delhi, June 7 (UNI) Bollywood actress Shreya Narayan’s new movie ‘Part-Time Job’ which was released on Wednesday, said that the short film carries an extensive narrative.
This film released on the short films platform 'The Shortkuts', carries a special message that holds great importance for families who unintentionally neglect their children due to additional work commitments.
Despite being a 21-minute-long social drama, "Part-Time Job" also captivates audiences with its suspenseful thriller elements, keeping them engaged until the end. The climax of the film is startling. The story is a fantasy but has a strong connection to reality. Shreya portrays the role of a mother to a 10-year-old child in this film.
Regarding the selection of short films, Shreya said in a statement, "These days, people are watching films on their mobile phones. They are really liking short films. Renowned directors like Anurag Kashyap and Tigmanshu Dhulia are making short films, and acclaimed actors like Manoj Bajpayee, Ashutosh Rana, and Piyush Mishra are also exploring short films. 'Part-Time Job' is undoubtedly a short film, but it carries an extensive narrative. Today, the truth is that people are going to cinemas not just to watch grand films but also because they want to see good content, which they can find on YouTube and OTT platforms."
Hemant Mahaur, who has garnered praise for his exceptional performances in films like ‘Highway’ and ‘Phantom’, is also part of this Piyush Pandey-directed film.
Hemant shared, "I can confidently say that the subject of this film is very crucial. Such a film has never been made before. That's why when I was told about the subject, I was immediately excited to be a part of it because I felt it not only stands out from the usual subjects but also carries a message that should reach society."
Piyush Pandey, apart from directing the film, has also written the story. He says, "It is a fictional story, but it's becoming a reality soon. If my story brings about a positive change in the approach of some people towards their children, then I will consider myself successful."
