'No one can take away your rights', PM assures Assam and North East from Dhanbad

Dhanbad, Dec 12 (UNI) Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that the people of Assam and the entire North East need not worry about the the passing of the Citizenship Amendment Bill (CAB) in the parliament and urged them not to fall in trap of the Congress which was spreading lies on the issue.
" I want to assure my brothers and sisters of Assam that they have nothing to worry after the passing of CAB. I want to assure them from the land of Bhole Baba (Deoghar) that no one can take away your rights, unique identity and beautiful culture. It will continue to flourish and grow, " he said in an election rally held at Barwadda as part of campaigning for the 15 seats going into the polls in the fourth phase on December 16.
The Central Government and the BJP are totally committed to constitutionally safeguard the political, linguistic, cultural and land rights of the Assamese people as per the spirit of Clause 6, he said. Mr Modi said that almost the entire north east is out of the ambit of the Citizenship Amendment bill.
