Panaji, Mar 19 (UNI) Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Tuesday said that first priority of his government would be to provide good administration.
Speaking to reporters at State Secretariat at Porvorim after taking over charge as Chief Minister, he said,'First priority of mine is to take control over administration. To give a good administration will be my first priority. Second priority is to complete all the projects taken up former Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar. Focus would also be on development of infrastructure.
Speaking about floor test in the state assembly, he said it would be held on Wednesday.
'We are going for floor test tomorrow. There would not be any problem,' he said.
He Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party (MGP) leader Sudin Dhavalikar and Goa Forward Party (GFP) President Vijay Sardesai had been appointed deputy chief ministers and distribution of portfolios would be done soon.
When Congress was free to approach court on formation of government in the state.
Expressing confidence that the coalition government would complete its term, he said, 'Government completed two years under Manohar Parrikar, rest of the term would be completed under me.'
He said his appointment as chief minister from the post of Assembly Speaker was a proud moment for him.
On mining issue, he said efforts would be made to solve the mining issue on priority basis.
He exuded confidence that Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) would win the two Lok Sabha seats in the state again.
'I am very much confident and party too is confident,' he said, adding the party candidates would win the three by-elections as well.
