New Delhi, Mar 12 (UNI) Charging the BJP of making a mockery of the electoral verdict and trying to subvert Democracy in Manipur by illegally abducting Independent MLA Asabuddin. Talking to reporters here, AICC media panelist Jaiveer Shergill alleged that at the Imphal airport, an independent MLA Asabuddin travelling with Minister, Nasir has been illegally abducted by 200 CISF personnel. This has been done at the behest of BJP general secretary Ram Madhav.’’ He demanded registering of an FIR against Mr Ram Madhav. Mr Shergill alleged that by using money power and muscle power, the BJP is trying to form a government in the state by ignoring the mandate given by the people. ‘’At the Imphal airport, the independent MLA has been abducted through misuse of the CISF and the airport administration,’’he said. Alleging that the abduction has been done at the behest of BJP general secretary Ram Madhav, he said,’’an FIR should be registered against the BJP general secretary.’’ Earlier, in a statement, AICC media incharge Randeep Surjewala said,’’the BJP is now misusing the CISF and Airport authorities to detain and abduct Independent MLA, Asabuddin at Imphal Airport and take him to Kolkata.
