#MeToo campaign fad to earn publicity mileage: Vinod Ganatra

Panaji, Nov 21 (UNI) Vinod Ganatra, who heads the seven-member non feature film jury at the 49th International Film Festival of India (IFFI), has said that #MeToo campaign was a fad to earn publicity.
Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of IFFI, which was inaugurated here on Tuesday, he said, “It (#MeToo) is a fad, which has come with time. It is a chance to get publicity and mileage. It will not last. What is authentic will last. What is not authentic will disappear. There are people who encourage it.”
He claimed that the campaign got attention because of people who were interested in fanning the phenomenon.
