Sangli, Sep 16 (UNI) Taking a swipe at the opposition parties in Maharashtra, State chief minister Devendra Fadnavis said on Monday they would not get power in the state for the next twenty-five years and asked them to practice sitting on the opposition benches.
Addressing a rally as part of 'Maha Janadesh Yatra' at Palus-Kadegaon tehsil place Monday evening, some 35 km from here, he said taking out 'yatras' was a tradition of the BJP and noted that even when they were in opposition, they had taken out 'Sangharsh Yatra' and now the 'Samvad Yatra'.
Making a mockery of similar 'yatras' taken out by the Opposition parties in the run-up to state assembly elections, he claimed that people thronged in large numbers to BJP's rallies whereas the Opposition's public meets were sparsely attended.
